I didn't spend too much time on this one but it was still a lot of fun. It took about 3 hours over a period of about a week or so. I've been really tired lately and I can't seem to stay in front of the computer for more than a few minutes.

I traced the image from a photo then painted it in PhotoShop. This time though, I used the airbrush tool to lay down the bulk of the shapes/colors. Then I painted over that on another layer with a hard edged paint brush. I think it gives the painting a bit of depth.

I agree with you about the depth. The colours are good too, they add a nice vibrancy to this pleasant piece. Be nice to see a little more effort on softening in certain areas though to reduce the jagged feel (I apologise if that is your style though). All the best with the imagination one, well done on this.

composition colour and depth are nice. on the whole i like it - my only issue is the bottom part of her face, her smile is what my eye is drawn too - yet it is maybe still a touch too blurred? If you used that hard brush to add some more definition to the strand of hair, lip and chin it would work well

I really like the vibe of this painting. it's playful which is in perfect keeping with the subject
