Slapo - It was a 75-300IS at full zoom. The animal was probably about 10-15 feet away. Fooxoo - I'd like to say that I was stalking him in the dense jungle, but really he was behind a cage at The Zoo in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

We've got an ape, dragonfly, now - a tiger. It's time to open a GFX Zoo And stop kidding us. "I took this picture at the Zoo".. Right! Everyone knows that the free time you spend in the jungle, like a silent shadow running among the trees in search for the next prey Beautiful picture. Good focus and I like the lighting. Pity you had to crop the mouth but the image looks good anyways.

And when I go out I'm lucky if I photograph a rabbit. Nice, sharp shot, the only problem being the cropping half-way down the lower jaw. Still great, though. And why do they call the lion the king of the jungle, when lions don't live in jungles? I agree, it should be the tiger +8/10

The lighting and sharpness of this picture is unbelievable. I would have thought you had gone to a preserve or this was commisioned by National Geographic. i understand the previous comments about teh mouth being cropped, but i think it's fine without it. Great job

Now that's gorgeous, you've got some really amazing photos in your gallery but this one is my favorite! especially for the close-up cutting out the lawer jaw, it makes it less 'typical' of most tiger shots. Love it!

mouth and lower jaw: I wish all the artists on the net would go out on a wildlife shoot one day to realize how hard it is to shoot wildlife - captive or otherwise...animals rarely pose for you..you have a few seconds at most to focus, frame, and shoot as quickly as you can because a split second later the opportunity is gone. very good capture of one my fav animals (along with the wolf of course)
