Time to Start Taking Lessons

I really enjoy this photography kick I'm in. So much so, that I decided to sign up for online classes with the New York Institute of Photography. I did a lot of research and they seem to be pretty good. They have a good reputation and a lot of successfull Photographers came out of there.

I hope to further my education and skill and someday become a pro. My dream is to someday open my own portrait studio, but that's a long way to go. My photos now are just slightly better than snapshots.

As I progress I will share what I learn with others through my photography. I will try to provide more detailed information regarding the photos I post here and hopefully some of you will also benefit from what I learn. Not to mention I crave the feedback to my work.

Thanks Gary. I am really enjoying the camera and I feel like it's something I'd like to get better at. I'm at the point where I think I can benefit from actual training.

As far as the printing business is concerned... Well, that just isn't going to work out. I'm going to change the focus of the site to just provide helpful information to self-publishing artists. My partner in the business got cold feet about the investment (as if I haven't invested a ton of money already), and is backing out. I actually have a new 24" printer on back-order and I'm trying to decide whether to cancel it or keep it for my own personal use.

Glad to see you got the chance to further your education Samson. I'm not in that position right now, and really miss the days of college when I had instructors...now I just have books, books, websites, and more books
